Static simulators for testing star trackers of the BOKZ family
Simulator IZ-02 IZ-02 simulator was developed in 2002 to test the opto-electronic channel of BOKZ-M star trackers. During testing the simulator is installed on the instrument's buffle instead of the protection cover. Inside the simulator there is a metal plate with five holes in a cross shape, the LEDs behind each hole and the collimator lens used to form a parallel light beam from each hole. After powering LEDs light up, and five point objects are projected to the instrument's field of view through the collimator lens. |
Simulator IZ-05 The simulator has similar functionality to IZ-02 and designed to test the opto-electronic channel of BOKZ-MF star trackers. |

Simulator IZN-07 The simulator has been designed to test the operation of BOKZ-M60 star trackers in nominal attitude control modes. It is also used as a technological protection cover,protecting lens from contamination. IZN-07 is mounted on the tracker's buffle before sending it to the customer and is removed from the tracker installed on the spacecraft during preparation for launch. IZN-07 includes slide, LED and collimator, similar to that used in the IZ 04 simulator. The power can be supplied to IZN-07 in two ways: +5 V from BOKZ-M60 ground support equipment or +27 V from s/c power system. |
Simulator IZN-08 IZN-08 is similar to IZN-07 simulator, but has different structure, which allows to use it on BOKZ-М60/1000 buffle. |

Simulator ИЗ-04 The simulator has enhanced functionality compared with IZ-02 and IZ-05 and allows to check the operation of BOKZ-M star trackers in nominal attitude control modes. In the IZ-04 a plate with holes is replaced by the slide which is lighted by one LED. Slide is an image the celestial sphere segment, the angular size of which corresponds to an angular field of view of the star tracker. The stars of various magnitudes are displayed on the slide by white objects of different sizes, slide background is black. |
